About Us

Welcome to the website of the 17th Congress of the International Ergonomics Association (IEA), held in Beijing, China, from August 9th to 14th, 2009.

About the Event

The congress was organized by the Chinese Ergonomics Society (CES) with the support of the Ergonomics Society of Taiwan, China, and the Hong Kong Ergonomics Society, China. This event brought together scientists and professionals in ergonomics from around the world to exchange knowledge, experience, and ideas in improving human interaction with technology, the environment, and workplaces.

Our Mission

Our goal was to create a unique platform for dialogue and exchange of ideas among scientists, researchers, practitioners, and students in the field of ergonomics. We aimed for each participant to gain valuable knowledge, inspiration, and new connections to further advance this important area.

• Chinese Ergonomics Society (CES) – an organization dedicated to the development of ergonomics in China and on the global stage.
• Ergonomics Society of Taiwan, China – an active participant in the field of ergonomics and its application in various domains.
• Hong Kong Ergonomics Society, China – an organization committed to promoting ergonomic ideas and practices in Hong Kong and beyond.
